Abyssinian Royal Tea
The Horn of Africa is known for introducing coffee to the world. Less well known, equally popular is spiced tea. At the first hint of a cold, mum would add a medicinal shot of Areki (aniseed liquor) and slice of lemon to ward off the winter chill. This chai is delicious hot or cold and sweetened with Canberra fog to add local flavour.
